CES Library Mission The mission of the Curington Elementary Library is to provide an inviting, dynamic learning environment that will provide students with the skills necessary to become contributing members of our Boerne community and our global society. The library will promote and encourage the selecting of quality literature and learning resources, help to develop information literacy skills, and collaborate with our staff and community to create engaging and authentic learning opportunities.
This mission is accomplished by:
Provide access to information through a diverse collection of learning resources in a variety of subjects, levels of difficulty, and formats;
Provide integrated learning experiences that support, complement, and extend classroom instruction while accommodating a wide range of differences in teaching and learning styles, interests, and capabilities;
Provide a program that serves as the center of resources and enrichment for our school community;
Assist students in finding books that they will LOVE!
Curington Elementary School Library Media Center Goal: The goal of the Curington Elementary School Library Media Center program is to achieve the AASL Standards for the 21stCentury Learner by providing learners with the skills, resources, and tools to:
Inquire, think critically, and gain knowledge;
Draw conclusions, make informed decisions, apply knowledge to new situations, and create new knowledge;
Share knowledge and participate ethically and productively as members of our democratic society;
